If the computer shut down unexpectedly or the computer is infected with virus then it will make harm to hard disk drive and also some bad sectors will get created on your system partition. It will slow down the computer performance and increases the chances of data lose.
I have the solution if bad sectors are created on the hard disk drive, but for the unexpected shut down and Virus issue you need to have UPS backup and Anti-Virus software installed on your computer.
Please follow below steps to recover bad sectors from your hard disk drive.
- Click Start, Click Run, Type CMD, press Enter
- It will open the command prompt, then type CHKDSK /F /R P
ress Enter key - It will ask you for “Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N) “, Because the partition is system partition. It will start the check disk if the partition is not a system partition.
4. Press Y, press Enter, then type EXIT to quit the command prompt and restart your computer
5. After restart the disk checking process will get started. It will ask you to press any key to skip the disk checking process.
6. Don’t press any key. Let presses go ahead, it will get restarted automatically when the process is done. It will also display you if it found any bad sectors & repaired it automatically.
